B2L system for lighting control at GAES headquarters in Barcelona

During the remodeling and refurbishment that took place at the GAES headquarters in the 22@ technological district of Barcelona, the Blu2Light lighting control system was chosen due to its simplicity to take advantage of the existing DALI wiring, the low installation costs and the extensive features and control options it offers, thus covering all the needs required for this project.

The Products

To control the different DALI luminaires in the building and taking advantage of the existing DALI wiring, different Blu2Light nodes were installed, creating a Bluetooth mesh network throughout the building, and allowing communication between the different floors.

For this purpose, XS Multisensors were used to regulate the brightness according to the entry of natural light, in the luminaires near the windows and in compliance with current regulations. The rest of the luminaires are controlled by Connect ME nodes, which allow the luminaires to be grouped by zones.

Finally, the lighting can be controlled manually from Connect pushbuttons or tablet/smartphone, for exceptional cases, but the control is completely autonomous and by means of hourly timings the lighting works without the need for any type of manual control.
